DAVID AND RENETTA

David and Renetta from Amsterdam have come to Maro years ago to find a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle. They found a farm with avocados, cherimoyas and other fruit trees and since then they have been learning and practicing permaculture and organic farming for this purpose. They began by joining a consumer group and from there the ECA association was born in 2017 to support producers and consumers of organic products.

Now they grow fruits and vegetables with regenerative techniques for the soil and biodiversity.

Renetta also makes organic sourdough bread in a self-built wood-fired oven.

They are also developing courses on permaculture, language and more and with the BAM project they want to bring all these topics together and be able to offer it to the public of the town.
